Always read and follow caution and warning labels on adhesive, primer and sealant containers. These contain petroleum distillates and are extremely flammable. Avoid smoking and open flames while using and with storage of any of these products. Consult MSDS sheets for further information on proper use and handling of these products.
Always use in a well ventilated area and avoid inhalation of fumes. Safety glasses and chemically resistant gloves should be worn to help prevent eye & skin contact. In the case of eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and call a physician. In the case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
Safety first should always be used when working on a roof. Read and follow all warning labels on ladders. Roof surfaces can be very slippery when wet due to morning dew or frost. Always work with a helper. Never work with your back to the edge of the roof and know where you are at all times. One missed step could become fatal.
Roofing over wet substrate is not recommended. If the substrate is wet, let dry or remove and replace. To avoid membrane blistering or bubbling, let adhesive adequately dry and become “tacky” before lying in rubber. Given time in sun and heat most bubbles and light wrinkles will work out.
